The 53rd edition of Jazz à Juan has just concluded, and the event is scheduled for next year, from July 11th to 20th, for the 54th International Festival.
It is already clear that this edition has gained the trust and support of the public. Top 3 of these evenings (if needed): Ibrahim Maalouf and Sting, Garland Jeffreys and Diana Krall, Hiromi and Melody Gardot!
This edition is characterized by an increasingly international audience: analyzing online or mail-order sales to date, it is evident (and it is a fact) that ‘Jazz à Juan’ is purchased from all four corners of the world: 38 different countries have shown interest in our program. Great Britain, Scandinavia, Germany, Italy, and the United States alone represent over 1,200 tickets sold online! And two tickets purchased from Papua New Guinea!
The threshold of 60% of sales through the internet or mail has been crossed.
Average paying attendance: more than 80% over 10 days; adding to this the two evenings offered by the city of Antibes Juan-les-Pins to the locals and visitors, more than 25,000 people will have frequented the prestigious seats of the Gould pine grove.
The only small downside, “ticket counter” sales are significantly down: in an economically challenging year, “Impulse buys”, spontaneous purchases, seem more rare.
Not to mention the thousands of people who benefited from the 70 concerts offered by the Tourist Office, and the 14 other concerts supported by private organizations and partners.
In summary, more than 50,000 people will have thus savored, for an evening or a stay, the “Jazz” charms of the city of the Joy of Living so dear to the great Sidney Bechet.
