During a ceremony marked by a lengthy speech from its master of ceremonies, the Senior Citizen Trophies were awarded to the recipients in the presence of a large audience.
As a flagship initiative of the policy benefiting the 100,000 seniors from Nice, this competition aims to highlight those who, upon retirement, have managed to engage in life paths that fully fulfill them.
130 citizens of Nice over the age of 55 participated in this competition, which highlights seniors who excel in various fields such as the economy, culture, associative or sports life, as well as voluntary or charitable work.
Year after year, the list of winners expands with remarkable actions that can serve as examples for those reaching retirement age and who feel the need to experience a fully responsible citizenship intensely.
The winners of the 2014 edition are:
