Since 2005, OGC Nice, the Lions Club Nice Etoile, the Rotary Club Baie des Anges, and the Club Des Supporters (CDS) have organized the “Children Without Pain” initiative each spring.
This operation aims to support various local associations that work towards improving the daily lives of seriously ill children and their families.
Each season, a match is dedicated to the operation during which one euro is taken from each ticket sold. The amount is then distributed among the partner associations.
For the year 2016, 4 associations (Loulou la Belle vie, Le Point Rose, P’tit Louis, Trail pour Tous) will each receive 2,750 euros, totaling 11,000 euros – 10,000 euros were raised during the Nice – Caen match on May 2, 2015, augmented by an additional 1,000 euros provided by the Club des Supporters.
The checks were presented by Jean-Pierre Rivère, president of OGC Nice, as well as Nampalys Mendy, captain of OGC Nice and sponsor of the operation, during a small ceremony.
On this occasion, the club management announced that the operation will be conducted again for a 13th season.
