Every end of summer, La Colle sur Loup reconnects with its past. Visitors of all ages, increasingly numerous, rediscover the daily life of our ancestors, some with nostalgia, all with fascination. Folk dances and skits in Provençal costumes recreate the life of bygone days. This Sunday, September 8, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.


antan.jpg From the blacksmith to the schoolteacher, including the knife grinder and the rural policeman, about fifty old trades are honored in the joyful atmosphere of fairs from yesteryear.

Numerous stalls offer local products and items crafted by artisans.

This year, the renovated bell tower of St Jacques Church celebrates its 350th anniversary.
A lecture and a photo exhibition are an opportunity to highlight the bell towers and campaniles of the Nice region.

Activities: Traditional wedding and its procession (in the morning), wheat threshing, parade of old bicycles, and vintage cars and motorcycles, shelf-making workshop, lavender distillation, brandy maker, knife grinders (available to sharpen knives), street skits, pony rides and petting farm, etc…

At 3 p.m., a lecture by Charles Astro “From the Romanesque Alps to the Côte d’Azur, bell towers and campaniles of Eastern Provence and the Nice Region”.
