This Sunday, January 26 at 3:00 PM, in Saint Roch Square (Forecourt of the church), the 25th World Championship of Palhasso organized by the Occitanr Cultural Center Pais Nissart e Alpenc will take place.
The aim of this competition is to send the Palhasso, a Nissart straw man, as far as possible with the help of a sheet.
The championship will conclude with the referees’ awards ceremony and the merenda nissarda. The sports event is free.
The world record has been held since 2007 by the team Lu poetas: Joan Piccinelli and Romieu Martin, with a distance of 15.30 meters.
