This Sunday will be the 27th edition of the Nice Running Day.
5 distances for all types of runners: Half marathon 21.1 KM, 10 KM, La Niรงoise 5KM, Haribo Teens Run 3KM, and Haribo Family Run 2KM.
8,000 participants are expected.
For this eagerly awaited event, elite Kenyan and Ethiopian athletes will run along the Promenade des Anglais and attempt to beat the record held by Bernard KOECH at 59’57” since 2012.
The 21.1 km, the main event of the weekend, once again attracted a strong field. The Kenyans, favorites for the event, will line up at the start line to try to lower the course’s record times.
Levy MATEBO set his personal record at 1h06′ at the Nice International Half Marathon in 2011. His teammates Emmanuel KIPSANG, Amos MITEI, and Nicodemus KIPKURUI have personal records of 1h14′, 1h53′, and 1h01’56” respectively.
This prodigious field leaves the door open for a promising podium!
