The 2nd edition of the Printemps des Seniors will take place from March 28 to June 30 in the municipalities of Cannes, Contes, Menton, Nice, and Valberg.
In 2019, the ambition of the Alpes-Maritimes Department is to offer a range of additional activities under the “Seniors in Action” program to meet the wishes of the ever-growing number of seniors.
To recap, in 2018, 10,170 places were offered to seniors in the department to attend 19 free concerts in Antibes, Grasse, Mandelieu-La Napoule, Menton, and Nice. The concerts, featuring nationally known artists, were a great success among seniors from many municipalities in the department.
The “Seniors in Action” initiative welcomes on average more than 3,000 new registrants each year and currently counts 22,000 seniors from a large number of municipalities in the Alpes-Maritimes. The year 2018 saw a 22% increase in registrations compared to 2017, with 4,000 new participants, reflecting the enthusiasm of those aged 55 and over for the activities offered.
