Organized by Soroptimist, the 2nd Italian Cinema Days will take place from Friday, April 18 to Sunday, April 20 at the Palais de l’Europe, Théâtre Francis Palmero.
The program is captivating with the screening of three films representing different periods of Italian cinematography.
From Bitter Rice shot in 1949, which recalls the peninsula’s difficult life after a deadly war and barely begun reconstruction, to the enchanting Cinema Paradiso by one of the directors who would become famous in the following years, to the dramatic Vincere, which recounts a dark and controversial episode of fascism in Italian history.
A high-quality lineup complemented by an unusual theatrical performance, Senza mai levar la schiena, which revisits the theme of the film Bitter Rice.
An attractive proposal for an Easter weekend under the sign of cinema!
