From November 1st to 23rd, numerous world-renowned and emerging artists from the jazz scene will perform in Florida to celebrate the Miami Nice Jazz Festival, an event that unites the twin cities of Nice and Miami.
In 2011, Christian Estrosi, Deputy-Mayor of Nice and President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, took back control of the Nice Jazz Festival, the world’s first international jazz festival (since 1948).
In 2012, he decided to export the Nice Jazz Festival’s expertise to Miami to restore its international aura and officially announced the creation of the Miami Nice Jazz Festival as part of the twinning between Nice and Miami.
This year, more than 13 musical events featuring all the influences of jazz (traditional, Latin, Brazilian, flamenco, Caribbean, New Orleans, hip hop, soul, house) are being offered over three weeks in six iconic venues throughout the Miami area.
This 3rd edition of the festival takes place within the framework of the “French Weeks Miami,” organized by the French-American Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Consulate General of France in Miami, a cultural and economic event that brings together a multitude of activities aimed at promoting French culture and identity.
