Christian Estrosi and Marie-Franรงoise Maniรจre will inaugurate the 43rd National Congress of UNSFA (Union Nationale des Syndicats Franรงais dโArchitectures) this Thursday, which will be held in Nice on Thursday 25th, Friday 26th, and Saturday 27th October 2012 on the theme “The New Battles of Architects.” This congress continues the efforts undertaken since 1969 by UNSFA to promote the profession of architecture.
Nice welcomes and supports this national meeting among professionals of architectural creation at a time when the City of Nice and the Nice Cรดte dโAzur Metropole are already presenting the vision of an ambitious urban renewal in progress, which will serve as the backdrop for workshops, conferences, and debates on the place and role of architects in today’s city.

This work on Nice will be presented by Christian Estrosi during this inauguration.
This will be followed by the conference “Long Live the Resistance” by Luigi Snozzi, at the invitation of the Forum of Urbanism and Architecture of the City of Nice. This renowned Swiss architect, one of the leading figures of the famous “Ticino school,” will share his thoughts with the audience on the future, teaching, and ethics through the presentation of urban projects.
