A popular and gourmet event par excellence, the 45th edition of the Strawberry and Local Heritage Festival will take place this weekend in Louis Frescolini Square, in Plans de Carros.
On this occasion, visitors will have the opportunity to discover and purchase delicious punnets of strawberries from the Carros canton.
Local products and crafts will also be showcased, and a multitude of events, exhibitions, and fairground attractions are scheduled for this weekend: fruit and vegetable carving, basket weaving demonstrations, artisanal candle-making, sewing/embroidery workshop, educational farm, pottery classes, and many more…
Two exhibitions will also be held for the occasion: one titled “The History of Strawberries from Yesterday to Today” and another originating from the Tobacco Museum featuring tobacco production by the cigarette makers of San Giustino.
Let’s not forget the guinguette evening on Saturday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. under the big top!
This Sunday, after the mass and strawberry blessing, official speeches will be delivered in the presence of the folk group Girasoli and Coco the accordionist.
During the honorary aperitif, the public will also be able to taste the giant pan bagnat prepared by the association Les Niçois du canton.
A rich and varied program… and strawberry-flavored above all!
