The Vence Town Hall is organizing the 4th Eco-Habitat Expo on March 16, 17, and 18. Dedicated to ecological practices in construction, this expo aims to inform, explain, and give each citizen the means to act concretely and effectively for the protection of the environment in the field of housing, which is currently responsible for 40% of greenhouse gas emissions.
The Eco-Habitat Expo offers tools for the future and a sharing of experiences.
The general public, professionals, institutions, and craftsmen concerned about their industry’s evolving challenges are invited to meet the 50 construction professionals and 40 speakers present in Vence during these three days.
The 2012 Expo revolves around five main areas of activity:
- I welcome biodiversity;
- I eco-construct, I eco-renovate;
- I save resources;
- I create a healthy interior;
- I live in a community.
Thus, at the Eco-Habitat Expo, solutions will be proposed to prepare for the future and concrete demonstrations; actions to save water and energy; feedback on experiences; new ideas accessible to everyone; a healthy, comfortable, and economical habitat; and public animations.
But also… technical and financial responses provided by professionals and experts in ecological construction to questions such as:
- How to reduce your energy bill? Wood, gas, solar – which to choose?
- Owner or tenant, how to heat better while spending less?
- Large family and reduction of hot water?
- Act for nature at home? Build and pass on a self-sufficient dwelling?
