The Vernier College is organizing the “ONU-NICE” project for the 5th consecutive year. This project is a tremendous intellectual, civic, and human experience, conducive to the development of young people’s critical thinking and sociability.
More than 400 high school and middle school students, aged 13 to 18, will be present for this major day of a simulated UN session.
For the first time, 4 foreign institutions will participate, with approximately 50 students: the French Lycรฉe of Berlin, the Charles de Gaulle High School in Ankara, the Stendhal High School in Milan, and the Aprosio High School in Ventimiglia.
The project’s goal is to raise students’ awareness of the functioning and role of the United Nations, including its structure, the procedure of various bodies, and the consideration of global issues.
It also provides an opportunity to enhance knowledge of the contemporary world by discovering different countries and the problems they face.
