The 5th edition of ZEFESTIVAL… it’s on!

Latest News

The film festival of the Polychromes association became in 2012 the first LGBT film event in the Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d’Azur (PACA) region. The cities of Marseille, Aubagne, and Toulon thus join Nice for this cultural event. This initiative is made possible thanks to the handover from the Reflets de Marseille Festival to the Polychromes’ Zefestival in Nice.

This film festival, featuring movies that address lesbian, gay, bi, and trans themes, will take place from September 26th to October 8th. Its goal is to promote culture in all its forms by showcasing a positive identity of homosexuality and gender issues.

This year, 25 films have been selected to offer the public the best of LGBT cinema.

In this 2012 edition, there will be films from Pakistan, Israel, Belgium, Sweden, Serbia, Turkey, and, of course, France, alongside the presence of filmmakers David Lambert, Caner Alper, Guy Lee Thys, Cagla Zencirci, and Guillaume Giovannetti.

Several events will accompany Zefestival: the festival’s opening night at Musรฉaav (Wednesday, September 26th at 6 PM), the associative brunch on the Chรขteauโ€™s terrace (Sunday, October 2nd at 12:30 PM), and the closing After Party at Fard (Thursday, October 4th at 11 PM).

“This now regional festival seeks to address the widest possible audience to bring about change and foster a modern view of gender identity,” said Jacky Siret, president of the Polychromes, during the press conference at Castel Plage.
