Held from December 28 to 30, the 64th edition of the Nice Christmas Regatta – Jacques Puisségur Trophy concluded with the victory of the Italian crew consisting of the Italian skipper Diego Negri and his teammate Sergio Lamberthengui.
The skipper was already part of the world champion Star* team last September, off the coast of Kiel, Germany. Diego Negri also represented Italy at the Sydney Summer Olympics in 2000.
The Nice Christmas Regatta was supposed to bring together an armada of 32 pre-registered crews, but due to the health situation, only 25 of them were able to dock at the port of Nice before the events on December 27.
