The 6th Departmental Seniors’ Day: Being “Supportive!”

Latest News

With more than 30% of the population over the age of 60, the Alpes-Maritimes are at the forefront of a policy supporting individuals belonging to this category.

In the Apollon Hall, fun and free workshops throughout the day will allow participants to learn about the opportunities available to them.

A unique place for advice and information

This day will be a unique opportunity to obtain advice and information thanks to the presence in one single location of all the partners involved in various fields (health, housing assistance, access to rights, support for caregivers, etc.).

Here is a summary:

Numerous workshops dedicated to well-being

Free workshops focused on “well-being and posture” will be organized: introduction to yoga, sophrology, osteopathy, and naturopathy, workshops on sleep and heart rhythms…

Health appointments

“Health appointments” will be offered, including screenings for visual disorders, diabetes, and hypertension.

Introduction to first aid

This event will be the opportunity for everyone to learn life-saving gestures through a first aid and defibrillator use workshop.

“Memory training”

Seniors will be able to train their memory with quizzes and games.

A nutrition point

Silver Fourchette and a 06 a table stand will organize fun activities.

Fighting against the digital divide

Computer workshops will be led by the seniors’ connection association to help seniors master technological tools.

Solidarity: My neighbor 06 has a heart

My Neighbor 06 has a heart is a free mutual aid program between seniors and caregivers with volunteers, part of the Departmental Plan for Aid to Caregivers (PDAA). It provides essential support to isolated seniors and their exhausted caregivers. At the information stand, seniors, caregivers, and future volunteers will be able to get information and join the program.
