In memory of the horrific tragedy that occurred seven years ago, where young Laure Ecard, a player for Cavigal Olympic, lost her life during a sports trip, the Union of Nice Basketball Societies is organizing the International Under-18 Women’s Tournament.
A high-level lineup will participate: Russia, winner of the “Laure Ecard” in 2011, 2013, and 2014; Croatia, present at the 2013 edition; Slovenia, participating for the first time; and, of course, France, winner in 2010.
These four teams will compete from tonight until Sunday to win the 6th edition of the Laure Ecard Challenge.
There is no doubt that these will be beautiful moments of remembrance, exchange, and sport.
