In Nice, on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10, contemporary art venues open to the public into the evening. With an ever-growing audience and more venues each year, this edition features a new route.
A free and open nighttime journey through about fifty locations in Nice. Artists, professionals, amateurs, and the general public come together to share the richness of current artistic creation in the region.
The record turnout in previous years showcases the success of this initiative and the strong cultural demand from the public. This year, to accommodate even more visitors from all over the department, the contemporary art network of the Côte d’Azur extends the “Visiteurs du Soir” program from one to two days of festivities.
BOTOX(S) invites visitors on an urban walk to encounter art across about fifty locations in Nice: network member places or associated venues, invited locations, galleries, hotels, artists’ studios, private apartments, bars or restaurants, cultural or quirky spots, to introduce visitors to the various artistic offerings scheduled for the occasion.
The aim is to bring together and connect the art players and producers with visitors through exhibitions, performances, screenings, concerts, and readings.
To create a dynamic atmosphere and highlight moments, specific events in different locations as well as the “Promenade des Quilles” are offered: three urban hiking sessions “Trek Dance” (by registration) and the Champagne Bike-Bar tours the route.
There is an option to hitchhike between different locations in a Blue Car featuring Peter Larsen’s designs!
During these two days, the city of Nice transforms into a vast, cross-disciplinary, and contemporary artistic stage, offering a dynamic perspective on the city that reclaims the predominant place it has always had in the history of art.
From Monaco to Mouans-Sartoux, passing through Nice, Saint-Paul-de-Vence, or Mougins, BOTOX(S) is part of this timeline and doesn’t forget that creativity cannot thrive without the convergence and exchange between artists and the public.
