This Sunday, as part of the 11th Challenge Trail Nature 06 where routes are spread across the Alpes-Maritimes region, the Valberg trail offers two distances starting from the Mounier Parking: 28 KM (starting at 9 AM) and 12 km (starting at 10 AM).
With quality routes offering views from the sea to the mountains and over the red gorges of Daluis, the Valberg trail attracts substantial success every year, with over 500 runners expected.
For the 28 km program: Starting from the Mounier area, heading towards Les Launes, climbing up to the St Jean plateau, crossing the Challandre valley, followed by a climb up to the Dome de Barrot (the highest point of the course at 2,136 meters above sea level), then returning to the starting point via the Adrech de Forche, the Tรชte du Sapet, and the planetary trail (unique in Europe, a 1/1,000,000 scale reproduction of the solar system).
For the 12 km program: Starting from the Mounier area heading towards Les Launes, climbing up to the Adrech de Forche (the highest point of the course at 2,010 meters above sea level), then returning to the starting point via the Tรชte des Aiguilles and the planetary trail.
