As part of the 20th anniversary of its twinning with Saint Petersburg, Nice will host the 8th edition of the international festival “Saint Petersburg of Children” on Tuesday, May 23, and Wednesday, May 24.
Supported by the City of Nice and organized by the Saint Petersburg Culture Committee, this annual project is a unique opportunity to discover or rediscover the artistic diversity and cultural richness of this city.
On May 23 at 7 PM, the official opening of the festival at the National Theatre of Nice will feature a gala concert of classical music “Budding Virtuosos,” performed by the students of one of the most prestigious music schools in Saint Petersburg, who are winners of many national and international competitions.
For two days, young and old alike can explore the children’s drawing exhibitions “Saint Petersburg through the Eyes of a Child” and puppet dolls “The Magical World of Saint Petersburg Puppets. Dolls for Children and Adults,” or attend the circus puppet show “Dolls and Clowns.”
Open to all and offering a rich and diverse program, the “Saint Petersburg of Children” festival will provide an opportunity to discover the talents of the “Venice of the North.”
