If the Formula 1 Grand Prix held in Monaco each year attracts crowds of car enthusiasts, it is not the only event that captivates motor fans in the Principality.
This January, the rock will host the Monte-Carlo Rally, one of the most prestigious races in the discipline, which counts towards the World Rally Championship.
This year marks the 90th edition of the race, which tens of thousands of spectators can come to admire. Usually, more than 100,000 people attend the event, but given the particular health conditions, a spectator limit will be applied. For now, it has not been communicated.
After the reconnaissance runs starting from January 17, the race will open on January 20 and conclude three days later. We hope to see, as last year, a triumph by French driver Sébastien Ogier, originally from Gap. A victory near his home turf could launch him into the pursuit of the world champion title he has held for the past two consecutive seasons.
