With the simple style she is known for, Claire Lovisi, Chancellor of the Académie de Nice, awarded the Académie Prize yesterday to young Quintin Robaut, an archery athlete and model student at the Pierre and Marie Curie High School in Menton, during an official ceremony in the presence of sports authorities and the educational community.
But what does the Education Prize mean? It is a prize created in 1975 at the initiative of the Académie des Sports, under the patronage of the Ministry of National Education.
The winner combines qualities ranging from academic success to sporting achievements and community service commitment.
The winner of the Académie Prize participates in a national competition that will be held before the end of the year.
On this occasion, other prizes are presented by different organizations to reward deserving students, always for their dual success in academics and sports.
Regional Olympic Committee Prize to Salomé Cordinier (basketball, Honoré Estienne d’Orves High School in Nice) and Rémi Blain (weightlifting, Pasteur Vocational High School in Nice)
Regional Directorate of Youth, Sports, and Social Cohesion Prize to Chloé Caron (Stanislas High School in Cannes)
UNSS Prize to Quintin Robaut and trophy to Ken Halima Rihoum (Les Coteaux Vocational High School in Cannes)
PACA Region Prize to Florian Kypraios (Léon Blum Vocational High School in Draguignan)
A beautiful and simple event that allowed Chancellor Claire Lovisi to highlight the commitment of the recipients and the values that accompany it.
