As part of its media education initiatives, the CLEMI (Centre for Liaison of Education and Information Media) of the Nice academy organized two events.
This project is part of a civic pathway centered around the values of the Republic, focusing on women’s rights, rejecting discrimination, sexism, and forced marriage.
Yesterday, at Lycรฉe Les Eucalyptus, nearly 180 high school students attended a meeting on the theme: “The role of women in the media and freedom of expression,” with the aim of encouraging students to reflect on the presence and image of women portrayed by the media.
Today, about sixty students (6th-grade media class students from Jules Romains middle school and students from two CM1-CM2 classes of La Digue des Franรงais 1 school in Nice) will debate the role of women in society based on the audio clip they just created: “The image of girls in society, using media to talk about it!”*
