Good news after some concerns: the Air France base in Nice (as well as in Marseille and Toulouse), which was at one point considered for closure, will be maintained.
This is the commitment that local deputy Charles-Ange Ginรฉsy obtained from Frรฉdรฉric Gagey, CEO of Air France, during his hearing in the Sustainable Development and Land Management Commission at the National Assembly.
The forecasting of this organizational change was made by Air France as part of the implementation of the “Perform” plan, aimed at managing the company’s deficit.
The progress of this plan may allow maintaining the status quo and avoiding disruption to the significance of “this platform, the second-largest international airport in France, serving the 5th largest city in the country and representing over 7 billion euros in economic impact.”
This decision is also a positive response to the concerns of the flight personnel, as well as regular customers of the company.
