The Nice Petanque Societies’ Agreement organized a charity contest in aid of the CMT France association (Charcot Marie Tooth).
On this occasion, the Entente offered a specialized leather chair, presented by the Regional Delegate of the CMT Association, Mrs. RICCI, to Daniel SANTIAGO, a former boxer and trainer, suffering from the disease since the age of 28.
Daniel is the facilitator of the association “The Fight of Life”. He conducts activities in schools with the sole ambition of raising awareness about Charcot’s disease, demonstrating that, although impaired, one can overcome their disability.
His slogan: “Let us not fear the gaze of those who set us apart from society, but rather, let’s all rise to the challenge together!”
The many participants were very moved by Daniel’s thanks, his story, his humility, and his everyday zest for life. He made a short film that can be seen on www.lecombatdelavie.com.
The Entente presented a check to the association, used during their conference in Saint Étienne.
