The cycle path “La Littorale” is the major stake of the departmental cycling scheme that plans the construction of 278 kilometers of bike paths by 2015. These developments are aimed both at leisure and tourism use and at “home-work” commutes.
“La Littorale”, which is 73 kilometers long, will connect Menton to Théoule-sur-Mer through a continuous, marked, and secure cycle path. Fifteen municipalities are involved in this project.
The foundation stone of “La Littorale” will be laid on the section between Nice (end of the Promenade des Anglais) and Saint-Laurent-du-Var (Cap 3000, Moati passage), which is 1.4 kilometers long. On this portion, the bike path will be bidirectional with a width of 3 meters. This section is part of an overall project to requalify the RD 6098, which involves redistributing the spaces between different modes of transportation and giving it a more urban and secure character for all users.
When we set out on the paths… by bicycle!
