The Antoine Lacassagne Center has been awarded the “World’s Best Hospitals in Oncology 2021” label by Newsweek. It ranks among the top 100 cancer-specialized institutions in the world and within the top 10 in France.
This edition of the “World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2021” ranking identifies and honors the best hospitals worldwide that are specialized in cardiology, endocrinology, and oncology.
The survey conducted for Newsweek was carried out among 40,000 doctors, healthcare professionals, and hospital directors from over 20 countries who evaluated hospitals in their respective specialties. Initially, they were asked to name the institution(s) they recommend in their field of specialization and, subsequently, to assign a ranking position to these hospitals (top 5, top 10, etc.). The survey results were then validated by a panel of internationally recognized medical experts.
“We are very proud to be part of the top 100 best cancer institutions in the world, which includes prestigious hospitals like MD Anderson Cancer Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Dana Farber Cancer Institute in the United States, lending unquestionable legitimacy to this ranking,” explains Professor Emmanuel Barranger, General Director of the Antoine Lacassagne Center. “This international recognition by our peers reflects the exemplary care at the Antoine Lacassagne Center for individuals with cancer, thanks to the expertise of our professionals and our dynamism in therapeutic innovation and research. Being among the top 10 French institutions in this ranking is especially gratifying as the Antoine Lacassagne Center was spontaneously mentioned, recommended, and then ranked by oncology specialists.”
