Is the weekend lockdown really legal? The question was raised by 240 citizens of Nice who contested the partial lockdown in the Alpes-Maritimes. For the Nice administrative court, the prefecture did indeed have the right to impose a partial lockdown in the Alpes-Maritimes. In its judgment, the court wrote that the measures taken by the prefect are โproportionate and adapted to local circumstances.โ
The hearing took place on Tuesday, March 2, before the Nice administrative court. The judgment was deliberated on Wednesday, March 3.
