The Association Femmes d’Expression 06 supported the project of a young beekeeper from La Bollène Vésubie, which involves queen rearing and the production of swarms for professionals and amateurs.
The operation runs with about 200 hives and 300 mating nuclei during the season.
The purchased hives, which are larger, can be populated during the winter, allowing for the “saving” of bees in the spring.
“Her project deserved our support,” commented André Alziari-Nègre at the time of the presentation of the 2500 euro donation.
