The association Les Amis de Lacassagne is organizing a charity concert by pianist David Bismuth on October 22 at 3:30 PM at the Saint-Franรงois de Paule Church. This event is organized as part of the 2022 edition of Pink October.
This concert will be the culmination of numerous performances organized since the beginning of the year. The association Les Amis de Lacassagne, founded in 2012, is celebrating ten years of community involvement this year, for the benefit of patients and staff at the Antoine Lacassagne Center, working towards cancer research.
For 10 years, the Antoine Lacassagne Center has worked towards many endowments. Here is an overview of some of the most significant endowments:
- 2016: purchase of anesthesia equipment for the pediatric proton therapy center.
- 2017: rehabilitation of the tunnel connecting buildings A and B of the Center.
- 2018: contribution to the future acquisition of interventional radiotherapy equipment.
- 2019: acquisition of digital safes to be installed in patients’ rooms and the purchase of some virtual reality masks.
This year, the association is revisiting the 2020 goal, namely the purchase of an interactive kiosk for the benefit of the Center’s patients. This concert is intended to achieve this goal.
