This Saturday at 8:00 PM, the Lions Club Nice Etoile is organizing a concert at the Nice Opera in aid of the Antoine Lacassagne Center.
Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A major, Op. 92, and Fantasy in C minor, Op. 80 will be performed by the Azuréen Symphonic Orchestra.
The entire proceeds from this concert will be donated to the Antoine Lacassagne Center to contribute to the renovation of the tunnel that connects the two buildings of the hospital facility.
The Lions Club Nice Etoile and the Friends of Lacassagne Association are organizing a series of concerts to fund the refurbishment of the tunnel at the Antoine Lacassagne Center.
With nearly 300,000 people using it each year, the tunnel connecting buildings A and B of the Center is a central artery of the facility.
Sylvie T, a Nice-based painter passionate about her city, has proposed a decoration project for the tunnel with watercolors and Chinese inks representing the city’s neighborhoods: “The idea is to make the patients travel.”
The two associations have committed to donating the proceeds from their 2017-2018 concerts for the realization of this ambitious project.
