The 6th edition of the Grand Sports Prizes was organized by the Region on Friday, January 28, at the Dôme in Marseille in the presence of Michel Vauzelle, President of the Region, Francis Gilot, and Camille Muffat, star swimmers as sponsors.
All the vibrant forces of the Azurean sports community were rewarded during this evening full of emotion and joy.
The “High School” Grand Sports Prize rewards the best individual or team sports performance accomplished in 2010 within the framework of UNSS competitions: Lycée CARNOT in Cannes, Volleyball section.
The Best Male Hope Prize honors a young athlete with performances indicating a particularly promising sports career worthy of encouragement: AGNEL Yannick from Olympic Nice Natation.
The Best Female Team Prize rewards the best performance of a female team accomplished in 2010: The Handball team of Toulon Saint Cyr Var.
The Excellence Prize for Sports Educator rewards the dedication, work, talent, and formative spirit of an educator: PERRIN Michel from L’Epée Pistolet Monaco.
The Excellence Prize for Refereeing rewards a person or team that has accomplished a particular act or has exceptional general or specific behavior in view of ethics and sportsmanship: DELBART Bernadette from the Nautical Club of Sainte Maxime.
The Young Referee Excellence Prize rewards a young referee under 25 whose early career promises a particularly promising future in refereeing and is worthy of encouragement: CHASSAGNARD Mathieu from ASML Fréjus Volley-Ball.
The Regional Olympic Sports Movement Prize was awarded to Anna SANTAMANS from Olympic Nice Natation.
