On the occasion of the end-of-year celebrations, the Ballet Nice Méditerranée, directed by Éric Vu-An, is presenting two choreographies, Les Deux Pigeons and The Ballet of Faust, which will be performed seven times on the stage of the Opera.
With Les Deux Pigeons, for which Éric Vu-An has completely revamped the choreography, audiences enjoy a decidedly joyful piece. The dancers compete in elegance and playfulness to evoke the youth captivated by the discovery of romantic feelings.
The second act is The Ballet of Faust, a creation choreographed by Éric Vu-An himself.
In this spirited piece with the accents of Gounod’s music, which will be delivered by the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra conducted, on this occasion, by Léonard Ganvert, Faust is the plaything of a Mephistopheles who perfectly masters the art of movement. The spectators are invited to a grandiose choreographic Sabbath, where temptation confronts love.
