In the magnificent setting of the Villefranche-sur-Mer Open-air Theater, the Ballets de Monte-Carlo Company, directed by the Choreographer Jean-Christophe Maillot, will present its iconic ballet Romeo and Juliet, the famous play by Shakespeare.
He will offer a modern interpretation with a classical appearance, to a score composed by Serguei Prokofiev. The renowned choreographer has aimed to take on a new challenge by adapting his illustrious ballet in a unique open-air location at the Citadel of Villefranche-sur-Mer.
