After his debut in Nice last season, where he delivered a brilliant performance of Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 1 on the Opera stage, Enrico Dindo, currently the director of the Croatian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra in Zagreb, returns to the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra this Friday at 8 PM and the following day at 4 PM for a dual role as conductor and performer.
As a cello soloist, he will perform Tchaikovsky’s famous Variations on a Rococo Theme.
As conductor, he will lead the spirited overture of Rossini’s Guillaume Tell, whose final galop is one of the most famous “hits” of the classical repertoire, followed by the romantic Symphony No. 7 by Dvořák, remarkable notably for its third movement, a furiant, a wild Bohemian dance.
