This year, 15,000 m3 of pebbles directly from the Paillon will be deposited on the beaches, thus saving 1.2 million euros if these volumes had been purchased.
This pebble nourishment operation from the Paillon allows for making Nice’s beaches accessible to all and at the same time restores the hydraulic capacity of the Paillon and prevents flooding risks.
In the spring, security works will be carried out on 10 groynes located between Vallon Barla and Pointcarré. One of them, in the Carras area, will be entirely rebuilt with new blocks.
