For its 18th and penultimate stage, the Big Tour stopped in Nice to meet local entrepreneurship forces, as well as to introduce them to vacationers.

The Big Tour is an event organized by Bpifrance (French public investment bank), created to promote businesses, shops, and artisans from 24 French cities. This Wednesday, the spotlight was on the city of Nice.

At 3:30 PM, the event set up on the Quai des États-Unis began with a live broadcast until 5:00 PM to highlight local entrepreneurs. During this broadcast, regions, territories, cities, farmers, local restaurateurs, hoteliers, and committed partners of the Big Tour were given the floor.

After this live session, residents of Nice could explore future entrepreneurship through activities from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. These activities were available in the partners’ village, which housed 12 containers with unique attractions: augmented reality, simulators, digital experiences, demonstrations…

From 5:15 PM to 8:00 PM, there was also a space called the “Day Stage Space” where the public was invited to participate in blind tests and quizzes for a chance to win numerous prizes.
Finally, in the evening, from 8:15 PM to 11:00 PM, a concert was held at the Théâtre de Verdure featuring several artists such as Jérémy Frérot, and talents from The Voice (Gwendal, Anik, Robin). A unique performance with Fauve Hautot and dancers from Dancing with the Stars was also on the program.

Several political figures attended the Big Tour yesterday, showing their support for the event’s initiative.

The Minister of Labor, Élisabeth Borne, was notably present along with the Minister Delegate for Industry, Agnès Pannier-Runacher. The latter spoke about the Big Tour’s goal: “The idea is to spark a little curiosity in people’s minds, giving them a sense of pride about what is done in France. It’s also about encouraging the younger generation to explore and possibly pursue industrial careers. During a crisis, the first instinct sometimes is to retreat and limit investments; we want to do the complete opposite.”

Christian Estrosi, the mayor of Nice, emphasized the desire to showcase France’s industrial potential and strength: “It is a great opportunity to show that in the industrial sector, in the domain of our country’s know-how, in the domain of young talents, we are not giving up, and France is on the offensive.”
