The National Bike Festival will take place this year on Sunday, June 3, 2012.
“Ride the way you like!”… what a beautiful slogan for the Bike Festival. And so true! Whether for leisure, sport, or commuting, in the city or in the countryside, more than 20 million French people of all ages, backgrounds, and origins ride a bicycle.
Useful, popular, and modern… cycling is firmly part of our lifestyles and deserves to be celebrated.

The city of Nice will give a special touch to this day by organizing, with the collaboration of the Olympic and Sport Committee of the Alpes-Maritimes, many activities dedicated to the bicycle.
-The Bike Festival: two cycling routes and activities throughout the day
The sports trek in the presence of Christian Estrosi > Departure at 8:30 AM – Pont Charles Albert (Estéron cycle path)
Arrival at 9:30 AM, on the Promenade des Anglais, in front of the Théâtre de Verdure.
The family ride > Departure at 9 AM – Promenade des Anglais, in front of the Théâtre de Verdure > Warm-up with instructors from the Jean Bouin sports complex fitness center, then departure to join the sports trek at the Magnan tunnel.
Three other departures are planned (9 AM, 10 AM, and 11 AM), near Gallion beach, with registration at the GSEM stand, on-site.

Sports activities offered by CDOS 06, a road safety course run by the Municipal Police, bike rentals from Vélobleu, electric bike rentals, workshops to learn how to repair your bike… all day long, at the Exhibitors’ Village.
