If you are between 14 and 20 years old and enjoy singing, this Black Box experience is made for you!
Offered by the city of Nice, this project aims to showcase young talents from Nice. For this fourth edition, the application deadline is October 1st, 2023. To participate in this large-scale project, it is essential to be between 14 and 20 years old. You will need to submit an audio or video demo performance. This performance must be sung and accompanied either by your own instrument or a backing track. Lastly, undeniably, submitting an application involves a commitment throughout the project.
The city provides, during all school holidays, the AnimaNice Bon Voyage music studio and the Black Box performance hall. In addition to these workspaces, there is personalized support with experienced artists. The goal? To become a true star for one evening during a concert in the Black Box hall on Friday, April 26, 2024. Accompanied on stage by professional musicians, this concert is an opportunity to see your dream become reality.
Note that once selected by the jury, you will need to subscribe to a membership at the AnimaNice Bon Voyage Center worth €56.
Timeline of the major stages of the Black Box project
- October 1st, 2023 : application return deadline
- October 11th, 2023: auditions in front of the jury
- October 13th, 2023: announcement of selected candidates
- October 23rd to 27th, 2023: 1st week of work
- February 26th to March 1st, 2024: 2nd week of work
- April 23rd to 26th, 2024: 3rd week of work
- Friday, April 26th, 2024: final concert in the Black Box
