The Blessings Festival at Saint-Pierre d’Arène: There’s Something for Everyone

Latest News

If sometimes the faithful criticize the Church for its dogmatism and priests for having a closed style, this certainly does not apply to the dynamic Father Gil Fiorini, whose activism, open-mindedness, and creativity continue to amaze and create a wave of sympathy.

Singer, entrepreneur, man of connections, he does not hesitate to challenge norms and prefers action to inaction, and full churches to those attended by just a few parishioners and other officials.

This weekend will be the Blessings Festival with a busy and varied program!

Saturday at 6:00 PM after Mass, there will be the blessing of mobile phones, computers, tablets, and other technological information tools.

Sunday, the program will be twofold with, in the morning at 11:00 AM, a Mass sung by the Schola Cantorum and the back-to-school celebration with the blessing of school bags.

In the afternoon, at 3:30 PM, the highlight will be the turn of animals to seek the salvation of the Lord!

Does all this seem strange and a bit off-topic?

Father Fiorini has a prompt answer: “The celebration of blessings is instituted by the Church for the good of God’s people, to sanctify well the various circumstances of life.”

It’s so well said that one can only conclude by saying: So be it!
