Leveraging its experience in territorial observation through its observatories (Real Estate Housing Observatory, Sirius Economic Observatory, Zones and Activity Spaces Observatory OZEA, and Port Observatory) and its expertise in port management (ports of Nice, Antibes, Golfe Juan, and Cannes), the Nice Cรดte dโ€™Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry was the initiator of the BlueConnect project.

Launched in February 2017 and led by the Mediterranean Sea Cluster, the BlueConnect project aims to evaluate the economic activities deployed in the 298 ports of the cooperation area, define challenges in the sectors of boating and yachting, cruising and ferries, and freight transport, connect micro and small-medium enterprises (SMEs) to markets with growth potential through innovation vouchers.

Six Franco-Italian territories (Alpes-Maritimes, Corsica, Var, Liguria, Sardinia, and Tuscany) collaborated for 24 months to support the growth of these sectors.

To connect high-potential companies in the Mediterranean basin and help them develop in the blue economy, a Call for Expressions of Interest, co-financed by the European Union, was launched in April 2018.

The 19 selected companies, including 6 micro and SMEs from the 06 region, will be showcased with innovations such as the connected buoy, port wind turbines, solar-powered boats without a license, etc.

Quick response.
