The Brazilian Festival of Yemanjá in the streets of Nice

Latest News

This Saturday, starting at 5:30 PM from the Water Mirror, Nice is hosting the famous Fête de Yémanja, one of the largest Brazilian street events.

For the past 6 years, the City of Nice has supported this cultural project organized by the Nice-based Brazilian association “Brasuca Show”.

This festive event, organized by the Brasuca Show association, brings together more than 20 cultural associations and aims to spark interest in cultural diversity within the framework of “living together,” fighting against discrimination, and abolishing slavery.

A procession of 150 dancers and musicians will parade through the streets to Brazilian rhythms, offering the public a unique, festive, and colorful experience.

The procession will conclude its parade on the Quai des Etats-Unis with a final tribute to the sea goddess “Yémenja.” As tradition dictates, flower offerings will be thrown into the sea.
