Each year, designed for about 160 classes of CM1 and CM2 (approximately 4000 students), the Nice Cรดte dโ€™Azur Agglomeration Community and the Academic Inspection organize the educational program “Lโ€™Agglo au fil de lโ€™eau.”

The aim of this initiative is to raise childrenโ€™s awareness of the water cycle, the preservation of associated natural environments, and the water-resource-friendly practices. It also helps them to realize their role in environmental protection.

The program includes an in-class session conducted by environmental professionals, followed by a visit to the “Nice Haliotis” wastewater treatment plant to understand its function and importance.

Two primary school classes from “Les Oliviers” in Nice will visit the station on Tuesday, June 26, 2007. On this occasion, Michel Gasiglia, community advisor for CANCA, and the Environment Directorate will discuss the benefits of this educational action carried out among the youngest.
