Thanks to the dynamism imparted to job seekers, 50 hirings were realized in 2006 within the three months following the Markethon*.

It is with this goal in mind that teams of 2 or 3 people will meet, this Thursday, with recruitment managers within companies. This collective approach allows job seekers to demystify contact with businesses, which is its purpose, and in return, it offers companies the opportunity to widely and freely disseminate their job offers.

Seven meeting points are scheduled in: Cagnes-sur-Mer, Nice center and L’Ariane, Saint-André-de-la-Roche, Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Vence, and Villefranche-sur-Mer.

In Nice, participants will depart this Thursday, October 4th at 8:30 am, from the Cyber Employment office located under the MAMAC (Place Yves Klein) in the presence of Dominique Estrosi, Vice President of CANCA and delegate for city and housing policy.

The Specifics of the 2007 Operation

– For job seekers – “Discover promising careers in the CANCA area”: guided tours are organized to discover careers in personal assistance in Villefranche-sur-Mer, secretarial work in Saint-Laurent-du-Var, elevator operation in Cagnes-sur-Mer, and large retail in Nice.

– For businesses – “Increase your chances of recruiting the right person for your company”: recruiters contacted during the Markethon are invited to participate in an operation to prevent hiring discrimination by using anonymous CVs. Each company can view the participants’ CVs on the agglomeration’s website. The community PLIE is responsible for finalizing appointments for companies interested in a candidate’s skills. Following the interview, a questionnaire sent to the recruiter will allow the agglomeration to assess the impact of this operation tested for the first time.

– In 2006, the National Job Search Day (Markethon) was echoed in 125 cities across France and managed to collect 7,345 job offers in one day.
