A full house for the 32nd edition of the International Games Festival in Cannes!

Mission accomplished for the Festival of all games, which surpassed the milestone of 100,000 visitors this weekend. The Cannes Games Festival solidifies its position as a leader in the Francophone market.

Professionals, festival-goers, and journalists once again praised the event’s conviviality, reflecting the values of living together, sharing, and enjoyment that games convey.

The Festival’s renown captivates internationally

This edition confirms its international character: Australians, Koreans, Swiss, Belgians, Americans, Canadians, Italians, and Spaniards were present among the 300 exhibitors. All presented their new products to conquer the French market, which has become the spearhead of the gaming world.

A game for every player

Since 1986, the Festival has positioned itself as a trendsetter. Today, the gaming market spans a wide range, from ultra-simple games to expert-level games. The jury’s selection for the As d’Or-Game of the Year label perfectly reflects this, with Twin It!, a fun and accessible game for everyone, and Terraforming Mars, with more complex rules that immerse players in a strong universe.

Cannes, the laboratory for gaming professionals

The profession gathered in even greater numbers in Cannes, with over 3,500 participants. A new day on Thursday, February 22, dedicated exclusively to professionals and the media, immediately gained their support. This pre-opening of the exhibition strengthened meetings, broadened debates, and was an opportunity for conferences, workshops, private showrooms, and general assemblies. These exchanges continued successfully throughout the event.

Authors and illustrators, guest stars of the 32nd edition

A true talent revealer, the Festival supports creative gaming and celebrates its initiators during the Off Nights, the ProtoLab, and its “Draw me a Game” exhibition. Many creators elevate games to the status of cultural objects. By contributing to the recognition and spotlighting of the most talented authors and illustrators, the Festival demonstrates its artistic and creative vitality.
