The story of the En-Nour cultural center in the Var plain will one day be remembered as the local “Dallas.”
An endless saga, without a clear understanding of the ins and outs, except that Christian Estrosi is against this project and is trying by all means to thwart it.
Otherwise, how can one explain that, after two decisions from the Administrative Court (June 2016) first, and the Council of State (July 2016) later, the former mayor of Nice returns to court to denounce supposed administrative irregularities on the part of the association behind the initiative and managing the premises?
Beyond all the accusations made by Christian Estrosi, which remain within the realm of his personal assessment (suspicions about the origin of funds, opacity of the operation, personal attacks on the Saudi Minister of Worship — a country with which France maintains diplomatic relations!), the answer to the sole question that matters is missing: is the En-Nour center a place of worship or propaganda against the laws of the Republic?
Everything else falls into the realm of the subjective, like many things that happen in everyone’s life.
