The Carrefour hypermarkets in Nice are rallying for a supportive back-to-school initiative.

Latest News

From now until July 20, Carrefour Nice Lingostière and Nice TNL are organizing a backpack collection. For the third consecutive year, this solidarity operation is being carried out in partnership with the association Le Relais*. The collected backpacks will be distributed to families in need.

The principle is simple: families who wish to participate can drop off one or more backpacks (up to five) and receive in return a €10 voucher to be used in participating hypermarkets on the leather goods, calculator, and stationery departments upon a purchase of €50 or more.

The Carrefour Market stores Nice Gorbella, Nice Californie and Nice Mont Boron are also part of the operation, offering two €5 vouchers to be used in the leather goods, calculator, and stationery departments upon a purchase of €25 or more.

The backpacks must be in good condition: no holes, with functioning straps, handles, wheels, and zippers. The store will then pass the collected backpacks to Le Relais. The goal is to encourage customers to take a solidarity action while also combating waste.

Solidarity at the heart of Carrefour’s concerns

In two years, this collection, organized in the brand’s hypermarkets and supermarkets, has given a second life to 320,000 backpacks. This recurring operation is in addition to many other local solidarity actions implemented by the store in partnership with city associations.
