The Castagnada is a family festival that celebrates autumn and warms hearts with chestnut tastings and activities for both young and old! The Chestnut Festival will take place starting this Wednesday, October 17 in the neighborhoods of Nice.

“Trois Collines” Neighborhood: Wednesday, October 17, 2012 starting at 1:30 PM at the Jardin des Arènes de Cimiez
Chestnut tasting, free activities for children aged 3 to 12 (mobile farm, educational workshops, games, inflatable structures…).
Musical atmospheres (barrel organ and singer).
“Collines niçoises” Neighborhood: Saturday, October 20, 2012 starting at 11 AM at Place du Palais des Arts – 144, rue de France
Performance by a group of Nice traditions, tasting of Socca, Polenta, and grilled chestnuts, Portuguese group Rancho Folclorico Tradicoes de Alata Minho, dance by the Lu Rauba Capeu group
“Est littoral” Neighborhood: Saturday, October 20, 2012 starting at 1 PM
