Latest News

Organized by the Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee, this tour travels through the municipalities of the Alpes-Maritimes, whether they are small, medium, or large.

Buoyed by its success, the number of stages has increased from 12 to 30 since 2013, allowing the youth of the Côte d’Azur to discover sports that they may not always have the opportunity to practice.

Beyond sports activities, the CDOS 06 aimed to develop a very important focus on civic actions with the SDIS 06 firefighters to teach life-saving techniques, with the gendarmerie on addictive behaviors, recycling, educational workshops ‘Red Card to Violence’, but also a cultural initiative with the National Sports Museum through educational games and exhibitions.

The results of this event are clear in numbers: by adding the 2 winter vacation stages, the 2 spring stages to the 26 summer tour stages, 6,937 young people participated. There were 6,463 in 2016. An increase of more than 10%.

Divided into girls and boys, the latter represent 59% of the participants.

On average, 20 sports disciplines per stage offered their workshops.

Concerning the ranking of the municipalities, La Trinité with 547 participants is in first place, followed by Valberg and Falicon (413).

Expressing his full satisfaction, President Philippe Manassero indicated that 2018 was another record year. A commitment for the team placed under the responsibility of the project manager Antoine Manassero.
