The Défi du Galop takes to the road once more for its 2016 edition, filled with champions and emotions. Will it also be filled with surprises? For after these years of presence on the French and broader European racing circuit, it must be observed that no two editions are alike, each presenting different aspects from the previous one.
Since 2014, the Défi du Galop, through its 15 stages (12 regional French Grand Prix and 3 events abroad: Avenches, San Sebastian, Baden-Baden), has been using its notoriety to support the cause of children.
The race meetings at the Défi stages feature a “Prix Un Enfant Par La Main,” and thanks to this visibility, nearly €13,000 have been donated by partner racecourses to the Association and its health and education projects in Bolivia, Senegal, Honduras, and Ethiopia.
The Défi du Galop, represented by its President François Forcioli Conti, is pleased to help open new horizons for children, aiming for this year to be one of hope for them! “Each of our events is a significant regional occasion, which allows us to reach a broad audience.
Each of the racing societies that are members of the Défi du Galop can make donations in support of the actions of Un Enfant par la Main. The large public can meet representatives from the Association Un Enfant par la Main on site.”
The 11th edition of the Défi du Galop kicks off, inviting you to the first stage at the Cagnes sur Mer racecourse on Saturday, February 27, from noon onwards. This family day will be an exciting discovery for both young and old.
A drawing contest will be offered to the younger attendees.
In 2016, the chosen project is “Creation of a school canteen and toilets for children in Vietnam.”
